Thank you for your response!

I do understand my main mistake initially, I loaded the data multiple times but did not specify the graph in my query.

However, upon further investigation at the time (that instance no longer exists) I loaded the data into three graphs but, when I did not specify a graph, nine literals were returned… This does suggest therefore that literals were duplicated and I had to add DISTINCT to the query to combat this.

Maybe I am misunderstanding something still, I would love to know where I am going wrong if you have a moment to explain a little further.
